Front Extension – St Austell

The client approached us to extend the front of their property to allow them to gain additional living space and a dining room with aspirations of a more contemporary architectural style to modernise their 1960’s built bungalow.

In order to achieve this the extension features a vaulted ceiling with triangulated gable window and recessed front door providing a sheltered entrance. The subtle use of timber cladding and post further adds to the modern theme.

Due to the proposal modifying the principle elevation a householder planning application was required which we submitted and we gained consent in 2017.

As the bungalow was constructed using a modular concrete system (Cornish Unit style) we were carful to ensure that the extension would not compromise the structural integrity of the existing property. These types of properties can be attractively extended and modified with the right
expertise around you and provisions in place.

The resulted development exceeded the expectations of the client and added great architectural appeal to what was a simple and dated property.
