We worked with an ambitious developer to design, detail, and oversee the construction of 10 high-quality apartments in the heart of Truro.
After acquiring the land, our client wanted to maximise the potential of this prime city-centre site, and we delivered a design that met their vision while navigating planning requirements and technical challenges.
The project provides a total of 10 apartments, 6 x three bedroom, 3 x two bedroom and a stunning four bedroom, 144m2 penthouse. All with private with balconies and parking.
Given the site’s prominent location, Cornwall Council’s Planning Department required a high standard of design. To satisfy this, we ensured that the local planning authority were provided with comprehensive drawings that included specifications for finishes, landscaping, surface water, and noise management just to name a few.
Collaboration was key to this project. We worked closely with a range of professionals to address planning stipulations and technical requirements ensuring a comprehensive design.
In conjunction with planning stipulations, we also wanted to ensure the development was both economical and safe.
The development exceeds its legislative requirements, achieving an ‘A’ rating EPC and using an entirely non-combustable construction methodology with comprehensive fire safety strategy ensuring the comfort and safety of its occupants.
We remained involved throughout the process, managing compliance, coordinating with consultants, and solving challenges to meet the client’s goals.
The result is a landmark building that sets a new standard for residential development in Truro.
